Needing Inspiration

I have so not wanted to do anything lately. I have been exercising daily with Seth and the boys. At least I'm trying. So I haven't blogged or done anything creative around the house, but I do need to get busy. Just need a kick in the pants I guess.
Leann over at Simply Dandy encouraged her readers to check out the Home Goods style quiz. So I went over there and here are my results. It's pretty accurate. Though I would say I am more cottage than country.

Amanda, you are a COUNTRY CLASSIC

You have a naturally refined sensibility with an appreciation for tradition and history. You value beauty, craftsmanship, and family heirlooms, but you like to open things up with pretty, easy-going pieces like painted wood or distressed furniture, lovely florals and other patterns, and bunches of fresh flowers that give your home a breezy, relaxed feeling. You love unique finds, have a thrifty, creative side, and can make these things work together.

You value creativity. You are stylish and fun loving, and can be an inspiration to others. You have a natural sense of drama, and you know you have to be willing to take risks—whether with colors, finishes, furniture choices, or ideas—for your home to stand out. Your home can be happy and lively and the place all of your friends want to be.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope to get some sewing done and the final windows washed that are no complete. The house is only lacking the large paladin out front. Needs primer, glaze and then paint. So hope that gets done this weekend also. If you want to take the same quiz go here.

Hello Amanda,

It is always so fun to look at your blog -- Your home and flower gardens are beautiful! I don't think you need a kick in the pants, I think you need a hammock, a glass of iced tea and a good book :0) Preferably if I can hang my hammock close by and we can chat and laugh! Fall must be nature's way of telling us to pause and enjoy all the labors of a inevitably busy summer. I'm glad to be back from my north trip... I look forward to seeing you. I've missed you! Hearts, Becca
