About Us

Hi! My name is Amanda and welcome to our little 1940 cottage home. We're glad you came for a visit. We have lived in our little house for the last 10 years this June. We've certainly come a long way since we closed the deal on this bank repossession. We've made numerous changes and continue to forge ahead on our work in progress.

I've been married to the same wonderful man for the last 21 years. We certainly don't look like this anymore.

We have two beautiful,wonderful, brilliant, marvelous children that we homeschooled through high school. Of course every mother thinks her children are these things. 

I work part-time as a middle school librarian after many years of being a stay at home mom. I love books and hope that the students I work with catch a little bit of the reading bug like I did when I was their age. 
I love decorating, cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, reading, writing, and really just about anything domestic. This blog is a creative outlet for me about everything I love to do. It's a way to see the changes and growth that we have made as the years pass. Also keeps our friends and family far and near caught up on what is happening in our lives.
